Wishing Everyone the Very Best of the Festive Season…
We Thank You for your support and look forward to seeing you in the New Year in our debates…
We started @SWSCmedia network on the 11 October 2011 and what a great two months it has been! We initially began with fortnightly #TwitterDebates on the 18 October 2011 and then moved to weekly #TwitterDebates. We are delighted that our debates attract and inspire social work and social care practitioners from around the global.
Two months on and 1450 followers later, we are very proud, pleased and excited as our learning and knowledge network and our community continues to bring Social Work and Social Care practitioners, organisations, academics, researchers, policy makers, users of service and other allied professionals and interested parties together, to discuss issues, innovations, opportunities and challenges as well as relevant developments in relation to Social Work and/or Social Care.
In the New Year we will launch some fantastic new initiatives including: case study debates; research and analysis debates; students, practitioners and academics support groups; specialists’ and/or focus groups; and so on… so Stay Tuned for these exciting developments.
We had a fantastic Twitter Party last Tuesday (20-Dec-2011) and wish to thank all the participants who made the evening so special. We hope you enjoyed the party and Q&As as much as we did… Also we appreciate all your fantastic feedback… We had 2 Quiz competitions and had a tie in the second quiz. However, instead of a tie-breaker we have decided to reward all our three winners. Therefore, here is the list of our winners with relevant prizes:
Winner of our First Quiz is @ProfSocialWork who wins a £ 50.00 voucher for John Lewis.
Winners for our Second Quiz are @444blackcat and @McLikey who win one of the following two books:
Evidence Based Policy and Practice in Mental Health Social Work by Dr. Martin Webber (@mgoat73);
Gender and Child Welfare in Society by Dr. Jonathan Scourfield (@ProfJScourfield)
Once again we wish to thank Dr. Jonathan Scourfield and Dr. Martin Webber for their support and for sponsoring our book prizes. Each of the above books will be signed by the author with a congratulatory message to the winner.
Also a Special Thank You to Nick Berbiers (@NickBerbiers) who kindly preparing our quiz questions.
